let's see how long this lasts

cool finds 1.31.25

It's finally Friday and I am free from the shackles of corporate hell, at least for two days. I've changed a few things on my blog including a new about page! Now you can get a little glimpse of who I am. Cats included.

During the last few days I've spent some time surfing the web and I've come across a few things I enjoyed, so I figured why not keep track of them here. Sort of like a commonplace book, but digital and online. I'll probably make it a series.

around the web

A Good Enough Guestbook
This is a guest book where people can leave a message by drawing it out. Then the drawing gets printed out in the physical world. This would be such a cool project to try at home. You can learn more about how they did it here: How does this printer work? • A Good Enough Guestbook

Tiny Logger: write calmly
A blogging platform similar to bear blog but has a writing progress tracker if you're in to that kind of thing. Looks like it forces google SSO though, which is a bummer to me tbh.

Unplatform
If you're trying to get away from social media, here's how you can do it.

LetterMo
Send a month of letters! You write to someone(s) every day. It's a commitment for sure, but still very cool. I aspire to be consistent enough to write someone a letter every single day for a month.

apps

NetNewsWire
Open source RSS reader for macOS and iOS. I currently use this. I found it thanks to Unplatform. It's simple and I love it.
